How To: Register your company for an event

Employers, registering your company for virtual fair is a simple process. The following screenshots explain how it works.

First, access the employer registration screen for the desired event. If registration is enabled for your event, you will see a registration form that contains several fields. For each field, a description is provided, along with syntax information if it is necessary. required fields are denoted using the the label (required)

Once you register, you and your company are notified by e-mail. The message you receive will look something like this:

Hello [FIRST NAME],

We have received the following registration request from you:

Company Name = [COMPANY NAME]
Username = [EMAIL ADDRESS]
Password = [PASSWORD]

Your Login will be activated once an administrator has reviewed your information

Thank you for your participation in the Virtual Job Fair

After your registration information has been reviewed by an administrator and your request has been approved, you will receive the following message:

Hello [FIRST NAME]

We are sending this email to inform you that your registration for the Michigan Collegiate Virtual Job Fair has been approved. You may now login and begin to setup your booth. Setup is easy and just involves filling out a few forms, but if you have any trouble, a list of support staff can be found on the website. To begin, go to

http://www.michiganvirtualjobfair.org and click on "Employer Login".

You login information is:

Username: [EMAIL ADDRESS]
Password: [PASSWORD]

At this point, you can then login to the system using your username (your email address) and the password you specified.

When you login, you are sent to your the employer home page. On this page you can specify your intent to participate in the event. All employers are automatically set to participate in the fair where they registered. Registration and automatic participation occur only once. For future events, employers simply login to the event and set the participate flag to Yes.

On the right side of the screen a navigation menu is supplied. Under "My Booth", a series of links to configuration pages are made available. These pages allow you to customize the content in your virtual booth. You will notice that the pages listed here match the sections in the actual booth. To maximize the impact of your virtual booth, It is important that you fill out all of the configuration pages. In particular the job listing page.

Initially, your job list will be empty. In order to make your company visible to students, you are required to have at least one job in the system. We may wish to create a new job like this

After at least one job is added to the system, a table of jobs appears

At any time, you can preview your booth using the preview option at the top of the screen
