How To: Participate in a Virtual Fair

Employers, registering your company for virtual fair is a simple process. The following screenshots explain the how register for a virtual fair.

First, access the student / alumnus registration screen for the desired event. If registration is enabled for your event, you will see a registration form that contains several fields. For each field and a description is provided, along with syntax information if it is necessary. required fields are denoted using the the label (required)

Once you register, you will be notified by e-mail. The message you receive will look something like this:

Hello [FIRST NAME],

We have received the following registration request from you:

Username = [EMAIL ADDRESS]
Password = [PASSWORD]

You can log in now, please keep this information on file in a safe place

Thank you for your participation in the Virtual Job Fair

This message serves as a receipt of your registration. For convenience, you will automatically be logged in and sent to your home page.

Details about your credentials and work experience are stored in your resume, therefore it is important that you upload a resume. We limit resumes to RTF format to prevent the spread of computer viruses: http://www.sans.org/resources/macro.php)

Once you've completed uploading your resume and customizing your profile, you can begin browsing employers using the links under "Find Employers". When you find an employer that interests you, get more detail about that employer by clicking on its name.

Clicking on the name of an employer will take you to that employer's virtual booth, in particular, the job page.
